External Audit 2025/26 – Notice of Delay Annual Governance and Accountability Return for the year ended 31 March 2026
Egglescliffe & Eaglescliffe Council submitted its Annual Governance and Accountability Return (AGAR) for the year ended 31 March 2026 to the appointed external auditor, Forvis Mazars LLP.
Under the Accounts and Audit Regulations 2015, the Council is required to publish its audited AGAR and Notice of Conclusion of Audit by 30 September 2026. The external audit has not yet been completed, and the Council is currently awaiting the external auditor’s report.
Consequently, the Council was unable to publish the audited AGAR and Notice of Conclusion of Audit by the statutory deadline. The Council will publish the completed external auditor’s report, audited AGAR and Notice of Conclusion of Audit as soon as they are received from the external auditor.
